New Year's Day

✨️ Happy New Year 2023 ✨️

Jumping into the New Year with a splash into the North Devon Sea, or maybe just a toe dip into a rock pool really..but our intentions were good 🌊

A good road trip away from our home in Somerset, the Devon coast was calling on New Year's day, so we packed up the leftovers, a pile of coats, hats & gloves and headed off on the road! Minus one child (Nirvana) who was off enjoying some time with her friend.

The sea was wild, 6-7ft waves.

We sat in the van on the hill eating our picnic, watching a good few hundred people walking along the blustery beach, families wrapped in their camo dryrobes, much to our amusement.

The local pub bursting at the seams with day trippers and winter holiday makers, all wanting a warm up after a good hike..but struggling to even get a bowl of chips.

Bonus car park was only £4.

So excited to get the van converted this year, we want to be able to cook at the beach (or forest, etc) and be more self sufficient.
