Forest Walks & Sunday Chilling.

We usually get up and have a huge list of chores, diy and paperwork to sort out on a Sunday. We did this Sunday...but I am fed up of the hum drum, the groundhog day.

So we loaded up the van (needs a name) and picked up Nirvana from her friends. By now it's midday though, typical teenagers.

We headed off on a hunt, for somewhere to drink our coffee and let the kids burn off some energy! Get them away from the screens and to be honest escape the most boring job list.

We drove to Dunkeswell Airport, a small place with lovely cafe, and year round you can park up to watch the planes and skydivers. However today it was very quiet and not much going on above.

We moved on to the next place, a forest location on the map! However this had no parking for a huge transit van! So we couldn't safely stay here!

Next stop was a random find, lots of space to park and looked beautiful. It was signposted 'Blackborough' by the Forestry Commission.

A lovely straight walk through trees & nature. Lovely views and plenty of space for dogs, kids and adults to enjoy.

At the end of the walk we found a cool stone building/ruin, kids enjoyed exploring and finding this. We enjoyed the view and headed back.

Definitely worth a visit. We have pinned as a favourite location for future trips with the dogs.

Across the fields we spotted the Wellington Monument.

If you visit enjoy.
